Fratelli Reali

The Fratelli Reali company was founded in 1914 by Guido and Giulio Reali.
At the beginning, the business consisted in the trade of hats that were sold throughout Italy. With the entry of Mr. Raul Reali, later joined by his brother Alfredo, the company decided to undertake the manufacture of artificial straw fabrics mainly intended for the production of bags and shoes. The choice turned out to be a winning one: production exceeded 500,000 meters in a few years and the company became the reference supplier of the most important fashion houses.

With the entry of the third generation represented by Marco and Massimo, production also turned to the furniture sector, first as weavers on behalf of other companies and then with increasingly direct contact with market operators. Today Fratelli Reali, led by Massimo and his son Niccolò who represents the fourth generation of the family, is a point of reference for producers, converters and boasts collaborations with the most important Italian and international architectural firms and designers.

Fabrics

Thanks to the great experience gained in the production of fabrics in natural fibers and in artificial and synthetic raffia, we are able to create weaves with unique characteristics. Weaves that marry the qualitative demands of industrial production with elements of naturalness and sustainability exclusive to craftsmanship.

Thanks to our Jacquard weaving we can create suggestive patterns of colored raffia even on customer specifications. With our heddle looms we create weaves in which the natural look is highlighted by the depth of the shades and the three-dimensionality of the processing.

The historic headquarters of the Fratelli Reali company has always been a meeting place and point of reference for international stylists and buyers; here are the offices, the sample rooms and the general management.

The operational headquarters are located in the immediate outskirts of Florence, an area of 4000 square meters where yarns, fabrics and other raw materials necessary for the production of bags, shoes, hats and furnishing accessories are stored. Thanks to the large size and the vast assortment of our warehouses, we can meet the needs of customers with the speed that the current market increasingly requires.
